Tsunami Cancun 2025 brings anime, dub and video game fans together

Featuring special editions of the hit anime DANDAN and the hit series Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

Cancun. — On October 18 and 19, 2025, the heart of Cancun in the Hotel Zone becomes the venue for Mexican Caribbean Geek Wave and Cancun Tsunami 2025.

Fans of anime, manga, K-pop, video games and pop culture come together for two days of intense entertainment, cosplay, autograph signings, contests and community events, featuring special edition DANDAN focusing on the hit series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Voiceover guests and surprises

The conference invited a number of well-known Latin dubbing guests, including:

  • Cristina Hernández is known for voicing characters such as Sakura in Sailor Moon and Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer.

  • Iván Bastidas, the voice of Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

  • Marc Winslow, the voice actor of Tomioka Yoshiyu and other characters.

  • Armando Corona plays the Pillar of Mist.

  • Irwin Daayan, Pillar of Stone and Fire

  • Alicia Valéz, voice of Momo Ayase in Dandan

One of the special moments was the participation of Iván Ramírez, creator of the popular Gruta del Alux, an interactive themed space recognized for promoting Mayan culture and mythology to all ages in an innovative and engaging way.

Their presence brought a unique cultural flavor to the event, bringing attendees closer to Mayan legends and traditions.

Darkar: Legend of the Internet

Darkar, the famous creator of the famous meme and humor channel “Vete a la Versh”, a symbol of Mexican digital culture, also participated in the event.

The anecdotes and content Dacca shared made everyone laugh, cementing his status as an internet legend and a reference for the Mexican geek community and meme lovers alike.

Role play, competitions and communities

The cosplay contest will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 6:00 pm. The public’s excitement and enthusiasm filled the venue with contagious energy. Along with group dance and K-pop cover competitions, these events are among the most anticipated.

The Artist Alley District brings together local and out-of-state illustrators, content creators, and craftsmen. More than a hundred stalls offer anime, comics, collectible figures, K-pop, retro video games and more.

With its grand debut of special editions DANDAN and Kimetsu no Yaiba, the first Tsunami Cancun 2025 is a true celebration of geekery and pop culture in the Mexican Caribbean.
