Leipzig Comic Con 2026: 4 Incredible Days of Comics, Animation, Comics and Cosplay

For four days, the entire exhibition hall was transformed into a playground of comics, anime, comics and cosplay. ComicCon 2026 is the centerpiece of spring events and part of the Leipzig Book Fair, but has its own pulse.

Between new book launches from major publishers, book signings with illustrators, animated films, workshops and competitions, this typical MCC mixes trade show chaos with a living room feel. About 40% of visitors come in the form of cosplay, ranging from elaborate first-time creations to costumes easily suitable for the international competition stage.

MCC benefits from cooperation with the Leipzig Book Fair and Leipzig Reading. You can enter directly from the colorful halls into the literary scene, or you can go in the opposite direction and dive into the sea of ​​wigs and merchandise after serious debate. In 2025, a total of 296,000 people visited, 38% of whom cited MCC as the main reason for their visit.
