A-1 Pictures and animation filmmaker, Waboku are collaborating for a new animated music video project that is sure to interest you, especially after you find out who the singer is in the video.
Animated music videos are a great way to try out new animation techniques or a new anime studio or creator to start your careers.
The magic of these videos is that they are not simple animations made to support the music, but rather have very elaborate plots that serve as a perfect fit for the music.
Singer-songwriter Eve is cooperating with A-1 Pictures and Waboku for a new animated music video. The project is titled “Baten Kaitos” and a brief sneak peek is revealed.
Eve is best known as the singer of Jujutsu Kaisen’s opening theme, Kaikai Kitan. I bet his ears perked up as soon as I mentioned the name Jujutsu Kaisen. Kaikai Kitan is a masterpiece, and that will make fans expect even more from “Baten Kaitos.”
The brief preview reveals glimpses of a world plagued by disasters. It shows a tumultuous sea and randomly arranged objects. A clock ticks like a countdown to something mysterious.
An image for the music video was also released last December.
The image shows the skinny body of a person being watched. The figure has chains on the leg, which makes them prisoners. A spooky vibe sets in everywhere.
This is not the first time that Eve has worked with Waboku. They previously collaborated on the music videos “Okinimesumama” and “Tokyo Ghetto”.
Eve has also performed the second ending theme of the anime Dororo and the musical themes of Ano no Secret, Bokura Mada Underground y Ano Ko Secret.
Kaikai Kitan’s energetic and catchy melody is still etched in our minds, and Baten Kaitos’ intro was sharp enough to get our attention.
