The Tower of God anime’s main character challenge is yet to come as Crunchyroll announcedthat the animated picture is waiting for the second season. The anime is now officially in production and will stream on Crunchyroll in the future. In this regard, a new key visual of the picture was shown.
The release date for the second season of Tower of God is still unknown and will be announced later, according to available information, the anime will be broadcast in the United States, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and the CIS countries.
In addition, series creator Lee Jong Hwe, aka SIU, shared a special message and illustration to celebrate the announcement:
“It seems that season 1 of the anime just came out yesterday, but now I will have a chance to see all of you again [поклонников] in season 2! I am so grateful to all the anime production staff as well as the readers, and I can’t wait to see how the second season turns out. As always, thanks for your support!”
Tower of God original webcomic published on WEBTOON, nine physical volumes have been released in Korea to date. An anime adaptation of the series produced by Telecom Animation Film and directed by Takashi Sano aired in April 2020.
The synopsis for Tower of God reads:
The boy Baam spent most of his life at the mysterious Tower. For ten thousand years, no one has managed to comprehend the secrets of the structure. According to legend, if you get to its top, you can fulfill any dream – and even become a god. This is not easy to do: dangers and trials await on the floors, which become more difficult with each level. But Baam doesn’t care too much about the reward. The boy climbs the Tower to bring back Rachel, the girl who went upstairs to see the stars.
