Fullmetal Alchemist cosplay gives Ed Elrich a fame makeover

2022. a big year for Vollmetall-AlchemistWe’re excited to release not one, but two live-action movies this summer Vollmetall-Alchemist Customization Trilogy. follow up Avenger Mark and the Ultimate Transformation Released in Japan comes a new cosplay that gives us a twist on the character of Edward Elrich, one of the greatest characters introduced in Hiromu Arakawa’s anime franchise. While no new series has been hinted at in World of Alchemy, it’s clear that the anime franchise still has a major impact on the medium.

The story of Edward Elric was a tragic one who tried to bring his mother back through a failed alchemy experiment that affected both him and his brother Alphonse. In the experiment to bring back his mother’s face monster, Edward lost an arm and a leg in the process while Alphonse was trapped in armor that increased his strength but also meant a human body was out of reach. In an attempt to return to their old bodies, Ed and Al join forces in their worlds and battle villains to unravel the terrifying mysteries of their world’s history.

While the live-action films of both Fullmetal Alchemist: The Avenging Scar und Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Transmutation Heading to theaters in Japan this summer, fans will only have to wait a few more weeks before seeing the former’s arrival on Netflix in North America. The film continued to adapt original battles and moments from the original anime series, with the first sequel arriving on August 20. As it stands, creator Hiromu Arakawa hasn’t said if we’ll see a sequel to World of Alchemy at some point, although Mangaka is currently working on a new manga in Underworlds Tsugai.
