One of the most iconic characters of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, the mythical work of Hirohiko Araki, is Jotaro Kujo. This character was the protagonist in the third part of the play, and an extremely important character in the three following seasons. Known for being a laconic and direct man, Jotaro is a user of one of the most powerful stands: Star Platinum. So we were fascinated by this cosplay, as it respects the design and spirit of the character while adapting it into an interpretation gender bender very well accomplished.
With everything and Star Platinum included
The first thing we can notice in this cosplay is the care that the artist Jiannxu printed in the characterization of her character: wearing the same clothes as Jotaro in Stone Ocean. After assimilating the image, we can highlight the non-binary identity of the character: wearing the same heels as designer pants and a sun hat.
Another aspect to highlight of this image is the staging that the American cosplayer arranged for her photograph: cool neon-toned lights enriching the color of his own clothing, and the inclusion of Star Platinum behind Jotaro simulating the powerful attack of this Stand. How much love for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure there is in this job!
If the past image was characterized by its dynamism and explosiveness, the following photograph synthesizes the perception that Jotaro produces to the spectators when they meet the character: a sensitive face surrounded by darkness and silence. Here we do not see anymore jojo posesBut rather a calm Jojo staring at the horizon with his eyes a little lost.
And it is that although Jotaro is one of the more protagonists badass In anime history, he is also a character marked by the tragedy of his own lineage: something that Jiaanxu knew how to perfectly characterize both in his wardrobe and in the editing of his images.
As you can see, some of the characters in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure lend themselves perfectly to being interpreted by cosplay gender bender, and this is mainly due to the beautiful design that Hirohiko Araki, the creator of the manga, imposed for all the beings that inhabit his fiction.
And you, what do you think of this Jotaro Kujo cosplay?
