(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Bo-Ram Oh = The Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA) will hold ‘BIAF2021 Special Exhibition: KAFA, The Keeper of Korean Movies (Animation)’ at the 23rd Bucheon International Animation Festival (BIAF2021) from the 22nd to the 26th. said on the 20th.
Let’s take a look back on the history of 12 years of KAFA animation by introducing long and short animation works. KAFA has been producing animations every year since 2006.
In the feature section of this special exhibition, ‘No Romance’ directed by Park Jae-ok, Soo-kyung, and Hong Eun-ji, as well as director Kwak In-geun, Kim Il-hyun, Ryu Jina, Lee Eun-mi, and Lee Hye-young, director Park Mi-sun, Park Eun-young, Ban Joo-young, Lee Jae-ho, Lee Hyun-jin 6 films including ‘House’ will be screened.
A total of 10 short films will be introduced, including director Huh Beom-wook’s ‘City of Good Humans’, Tak Do-yeon’s ‘Now, Here’ and Park Hye-mi’s ‘Shadow Monster’.
We also prepared a special talk ‘The Making of: Two or three things I want to know about KAFA’s feature-length animation’.
After the screening of ‘Climming’ on the 23rd, director Kim Hye-mi, who directed this work, Yeo Eun-ah of ‘Rose Inn’, and director Noh Young-mi, who is currently attending the KAFA pre-production course, will talk about the process of making a feature-length animation.
