MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD premieres on TOKYO MX and BS11 in April 2021

TMS Entertainment announced today that MEGALOBOX 2: NOMAD, the long-awaited sequel to the internationally successful anime series MEGALOBOX, will premiere on Japanese TV channels TOKYO MX and BS11 in April 2021.

The series MEGALOBOX based on Tomorrow’s Joe by Asao Takamori (Ikki Kajiwara) and Tetsuya Chiba and was first published in 2018 to mark the 50th anniversary of the original manga title.

The eye-catching teaser visual, drawn by director Yo Moriyama, shows Joe with his gear covering his scarred body. Seven years after Joe’s reign as the first Megalonia master, he now calls himself Nomad. The accompanying teaser trailer reveals a brief glimpse of what happened to Joe after his fateful fight with Yuri in MEGALOBOX.


In the end, “Gearless” reigned Joe as champion of Megalonia’s first Megalobox tournament. Fans around the world were fascinated by Joe’s meteoric rise, who fought his way from the deepest underground ring to the top in just three months and without the use of equipment. Seven years later, “Gearless” Joe joins the underground ring again. Littered with scars and again without equipment, but now known only as a nomad …
