Netflix just keeps growing and growing and currently sits at 209 million subscribers worldwide. The service has grown by 1.5 million subscribers since early 2021. The service also announces the most watched series/movies of the second quarter (2021).
Netflix gained the most new subscribers in 2020, of course this also has to do with the pandemic, which was still at a peak at the time. So this year’s growth is significantly less, but the service is still growing fastest against the competition like Amazon Prime. The service is also adding more and more series and movies of all genres. Netflix is also seeing more and more Anime films and series appear. Besides that, the arsenal of Netflix Original series and movies is still growing significantly. Check out the most-watched entertainment from the previous quarter below:
- Army of the Dead (75 million households)
- Fatherhood (74 million)
- Sweet Tooth (60 million)
- Shadow and Bone (55 million)
- Lupin Part Two (54 million)
- The Mitchells vs. The Machines (53 million)
- Elite Season 4 (37 million)
- Who Killed Sara? Season 2 (34 million)
- The Circle (29 million)
- The Sons of Sam (19 million)
- Too Hot To Handle (14 million)
As well as continuing to grow in movies and series, Netflix recently announced they’re working on video games and more! Everything is covered by your subscription, including the upcoming games! Series that will still run well this year include The Witcher season 2 and the hopefully new seasons of Ozark, Peaky Blinders, Stranger Things and Sex Education.
