One Piece Cosplay Focuses On The Latest Straw Hat, Yamato

Yamato is easily one of the biggest new characters to be introduced One piece thanks Wano Arc. As Kaido’s descendants disobey their father and throw their allegiance behind Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, a cosplayer has brought the Wano-dweller to life with spot-on cosplay. The final arc of One Piece is well underway in the pages of Shonen’s manga, and fans should expect Yamato to play a major role in the Straw Hats’ final journey.

Currently, in the War for Wano, Yamato has teamed up with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates to not only defeat the Beast Pirates, but also rescue the civilians of Wano Country who have been drawn into the titanic battle. While the battle between the Straw Hats and the Beast Pirates has intensified, the anime adaptation plans to go on hiatus to instead focus on an earlier story exploring the relationship between Monkey and Uta, Red-Haired’s daughter Shanks, who will be introduced in the franchise’s fifteenth film, One Piece: Red.

Instagram cosplayer Shika Rakumi shared this brand new version of Yamato, who has easily become one of the biggest fan favorites, as a result of the Wano arc when Kaido’s descendants rebelled against their father while also joining Luffy in his journey to become the next King of the Pirates:

Although Yamato joined the Straw Hat Pirates after completing the War For Wano arc, their presence in the franchise’s fifteenth film, One Piece: Red, is still a mystery as the Wano resident is yet to appear in any marketing material. With Yamato teaming up with the Straw Hats, it seems like the thug still has around three years of travel ahead of them, as Eiichiro Oda confirmed he wanted to devote that much time to the final arc of the series. It will definitely be interesting to see what effect Yamato has on the Straw Hats and if the warrior from Wano will be the last member to join Luffy’s crew.
