Opened “Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA”, the origin of anime culture that fuses real and virtual

Marui Group Co., Ltd. announced that “Tokyo Anime Center in DNP PLAZA SHIBUYA” jointly operated by Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. and The Association of Japanese Animations will open on April 16th on the 2nd floor of Shibuya Modi.

The facility aims to provide new experience value for animation by holding special exhibitions that combine real and virtual.

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the birth of the original comic of “Crayon Shin-chan” (Yoshito Usui / Futabasha), the first special exhibition will be “Crayon Shin-chan Ora’s New Discovery”.

You can enjoy a 30-year history of the original comic, a special exhibition about many characters appearing in the work, and a comparative exhibition where you can compare the differences in expression between the original comic and the animation.

Also, in terms of the fusion of real and virtual, the mechanism is to listen to the conversation between the characters while watching the AR characters of Shinnosuke Nohara, Hiroshi Nohara, and Misae Nohara.

The exhibition will be held from April 16th (Friday) to May 23rd (Sunday), 2021.
