Retro Chiclana 2025 will return on October 18 and 19 with retro video games and family events
Box Youth Iniatives Center will host the seventh edition, free admission and news such as role-playing, concerts and virtual reality.
Chiclana is preparing to host the seventh edition of Retro Chiclana, Andalusia’s largest retro video game, which will be held in the Youth Initiative Center box and digital hub from October 18-19 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will allow attendees to participate in free events in video games in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, as well as interactions and cultural experiences related to digital leisure.
Accompanied by Retro Club representative Rafael Rodríguez, Municipal Youth Representative Fede Díaz stressed that the festival “repeats formulas from previous years, but novelty doubles its quality and diversity.” Major novelties include role-playing competitions, markets with shops, artists and craftsmen, exclusive Narcisound concerts, and virtual reality and micro areas.
The 2025 edition will expand the original arcade machine with up to 20 units, which is an exclusive room with 15 classic gaming consoles and comes with CRT TV, special entertainment driving games and hunting games. “We continue to take steps to allow attendees to enjoy free video games for free, mainly from the 1980s, but have made suggestions for all ages,” said Fede Díaz.
In addition, the program includes a comics area, awards ceremony, champions, raffles and participation from friendly associations that will provide complementary activities. “The integration of microscope, stage enhancement and shops will allow for more interaction with the public, thereby facilitating family entertainment.”
The event not only seeks fun, but also seeks a generational combination through retro and technical culture. Organizers encourage citizens of other regions of Chiclana and Cádiz and nearby provinces to participate in the event to combine leisure, nostalgia and digital learning.
Chiclana Retro freely enters until capacity, cementing its role as a reference at the Retro Video Game Festival in Andalucia, providing a safe and attractive space where classical technology and innovation coexist while young people can enjoy the history of video games and pop culture over the past few decades.
