spaceships, weapons and much more

Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop trailer is here! The new preview is two and a half minutes long, and offers a look at various excerpts from the series, some of which will be very familiar to anime fans. Includes a recreation of one of the most famous original images, which has appeared in countless anime music videos over the years.

The trailer makes it clear that the live-action adaptation will be heavily inspired by the original material, although it is not necessarily a remake to the letter. Among the most recognizable elements are Pierrot Le Fou, the eco-terrorist group Space Warriors and the Teddy Bomber, some nods to the stories of Spike and Jet.

In addition to the trailer, Netflix has released a new poster for the series which you can see below. It shows Spike, Jet, and Faye around the Swordfish in what looks like an old western town.

This Cowboy Bebop trailer is the best look we’ve had at the live-action adaptation series to date. The opinions of the fans are very mixed: some are excited and others wonder if the title has an “identity crisis” regarding the anime series.

Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop will officially premiere on Netflix on November 19.
