SK Telecom announced on the 7th that it will support the exhibition of works by artists using the Media Wall installed at its headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul and Dunsan, Munjeong-ro, Seo-gu, Daejeon.
SKT produces works of art in a variety of formats, such as paintings and performing arts, in the form of media art containing animations and music so that visitors can view them more vividly and display them in media walls installed inside and outside the office building.
The exhibition works are recommended by social enterprises in the art field and newly selected every month. It plans to exhibit at all times throughout the year, focusing on works by emerging writers, writers with developmental disabilities, and writers belonging to social enterprises whose exhibition opportunities were reduced due to Corona 19.
In addition, from the end of March, the exhibited media art will be provided as’V Coloring’* content, allowing general customers to download the artist’s work. The entire amount of revenue generated from downloading works will be used to support the artist.
SKT is planning to provide opportunities to promote works and generate profits to artists who are struggling with the prolonged period of Corona 19. He said he expects to do it.
This month, a total of 16 works by Siyoung Yang (22, Level 2 with developmental disabilities) belonging to THISABLE, a social enterprise that supports the activities of artists with developmental disabilities, will be reborn as media art and exhibited. Both artists uniquely express various materials using oriental paints on thin canvas.
The exhibition runs from 6 am to 9 pm every day, and there is no separate admission fee. However, depending on the level of social distancing, visitors may be restricted from entering the office building, and in this case, they can enjoy the work on the media wall installed outside the office building.
