A popular fitness challenge on YouTube is to reproduce the rigorous workout routine of Saitama’s hero from the animated series One-Punch Man. He does the same exercises every day to the point where he has surpassed all of his physical limitations. Let’s see how this 100-day challenge affects our new hero.
Blogger Ozkar decided to try Saitama’s grueling workout. To complete it you need: 100 push-ups, 100 crunches, 100 squats, 10 km run.
Remarkably The blogger showed how he transformed his body in 9 months: the changes are impressive – video
Ozkar slowly and easily moves on to the challenge, starting with a 5K run and 50 repetitions of each exercise on the first day. He does this to allow his body to adjust, and then increases the amount over the next weeks. He also adds mobility exercises at the beginning of each workout to avoid injury, and sticks to a high protein, low carbohydrate diet.
Over time, Ozkar can adjust to more reps. It also improves its stamina while running. If on the first day Ozkar weighed 87 kilograms and had 26.3% fat. Then 100 days later, he lost 14 kilograms, and his body fat dropped to 18.4%. The transformation of his body can be seen on the video, because he took photos every day after doing the exercises.
“Honestly, it’s weird what such a simple workout can achieve combined with the right diet. This challenge really inspired me because it’s a great way to motivate yourself if you shoot a video every day. I highly recommend it to everyone.” – the blogger emphasized.
