The most realistic cosplay you’ll see inspired by Days Gone

Popular cosplayer Maul Cosplay has received praise from developer Bend Studio for his cosplay from Days Gone Inspired by Deacon St. Best known for his stellar cosplay as Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher, Maul Cosplay never fails to amaze. In the past, he has played characters like Kratos, Marcus Fenix, Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption 2, and the Aquaman version of Jason Momoa. Many will say that Days Gone deserved the same love.

Sony and Bend Studio originally released Days Gone on PlayStation 4 in Spring 2019 with intermediate critical reception. Performance issues that were fixed in a day one patch arguably hurt the game in this regard, but it has since become something of a cult hit. However, this status appears to have meant little in the long run, given that Sony reportedly rejected Bend Studio’s proposal for a sequel. Fortunately, the Bend, Oregon team is already working on something new, a project that PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst described as a “great new concept.” Of course, there is still room to celebrate the team’s accomplishments with Days Gone and protagonist Deacon St.

The official Bend Studio Twitter account recently shared images of Maul Cosplay in his Deacon St. John outfit, complete with the biker outfit, tattoos, and an apocalypse-worthy motorcycle. “We are speechless,” Bend’s post begins, praising the cosplayer’s incredible attention to detail. Maul Cosplay initially unveiled his version of Deacon earlier this month on Facebook, noting that he and his team even “built a Days Gone motorcycle.”

As always, Maul Cosplay went above and beyond. And as Bend Studio pointed out in his responses to fans on Twitter, it’s almost hard to believe the images aren’t screenshots of his own. Days Gone.

Days Gone It was given a new life earlier this year thanks to its release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Fans hope it works out well enough in the end for Sony to reconsider greenlighting a sequel. It’s not known if that’s possible, but at least a wider audience can get their hands on what many have considered one of the most underrated experiences on the PS4.
