A fan of Resident Evil Village has recently uploaded photos showing his elaborate cosplay from Beneviento woman. Resident Evil Village is the newest installment in the Resident Evil series and allows players to wander through an Eastern European-looking village that seems to have been trapped in the Victorian era, while facing dangerous mutants.
There are many fan favorite characters in the game, such as the vampire Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village. Another popular character is Beneviento woman, a ghost-like mutant who hides behind a black veil in mourning and speaks through her handmade doll, Angie. Donna is the last member of the Beneviento clan, a family known for its skill in making dolls. She lives on her family’s farm with her dolls, whom she affectionately calls her “friends.” Players must destroy Donna to advance in the game, but this proves to be a difficult task as she is a master at causing hallucinations and controlling her wrists.
A freelance illustrator who goes by the name Cachet posted on Twitter photos of her highly detailed cosplay from Beneviento woman. The images show Cachet wearing an all-black outfit and holding her handcrafted Angie. Angie’s details are impressive; from the cracks in his face to the white lace of his suit. She mentions in her tweet that this is her “first real cosplay.” Cachet also explains that it is the first time that he has sewn and only the second that he has sculpted a piece.

Cachet shared details about Angie’s creation process in the comments below her tweet. He first molded aluminum foil into the doll’s limbs and then covered it with a white foam-like substance. After painting the gray shadows, cracked face, and gold jewelry on the doll, she placed the doll of Beneviento woman in her haunting tattered white dress. According to Cachet, the project took about two months to complete. The fan of Resident Evil Village took his cosplay to this year’s Colorado Festival of Horror, which took place September 10-12.
The cosplay de Cachet with her handmade doll is just one example of fan creations (or rather recreations) inspired by the survival game. The game has been on the market for several months now, and fans are waiting for Capcom to release a DLC of Resident Evil Village for the game. While you wait, you can appreciate the dedication and creativity of other Resident Evil fans and their creative interpretations.
