Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri
Born as a painter, pupil of Maestro Renato Guttuso, Serpieri switches to comics in the 70s and delights the public with his westerns, his eros and his science fiction… also passing through the Bible.
His talent does not go unnoticed and in the early 80s he was hosted among the authors of the newly created magazine “Orient Express“. In August 1982 the third issue of the magazine came out with its story “Maybe…”In which the artist begins to veer towards that erotic science fiction that will be his trademark, as well as an element of sure success with the future character “Druuna”.
The success of Serpieri’s works, and especially of Druuna, crosses national borders and has a great following internationally. Sometimes the artist enjoys appearing as a character in his comics, willingly lending his features to extras or even to characters of a certain importance.
