The Acera de Recoletos de Valladolid will host between June 25 and 27 and with free access a new edition, number XV, of the Castilla y León Comic and Manga Fair, which will bring together 40 exhibitors from all the autonomous communities and that It is “the first event of its kind to be held in 2021.”
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Ana Redondo, presented the event together with the Deputy for Agri-Food Promotion and Consumption of the Valladolid Provincial Council, Inmaculada Toledano, and the president of Asofed, Carlos Ramírez.
Admission will be free, and the hours will be from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 11.30 am to 8.30 pm on Sunday, both days with uninterrupted hours.
The Comic and Manga Hall will feature different activities and workshops, such as a ‘Pasarela Cosplay’ photocall, Japanese calligraphy workshops taught by native teachers, or Viking candle workshops aimed at children between eight and twelve years old.
In addition, talks have been scheduled, such as the one entitled ‘La mujer en el Cómic’, which will be given by illustrator Henar Torinos; a ‘Medieval Weapons’ workshop, and ‘Character Design’ workshops, aimed at children between eight and 14 years old and taught by UEMC professor Santiago Bellido.
The program is completed with a ‘Creation of a comic’ workshop, also taught by illustrator Henar Torinos and aimed at people over 15 years of age, and with the ‘Cota piedra’ workshop in which they will teach how to make the basic 4-in-1 stitch and examples of different patterns will be shown.
Finally, the Comic and Manga Hall will feature different life-size ‘Star Wars’ figures, courtesy of Juan Villa Herrero from ‘El Castillo Encantado’. All workshops and talks require prior registration.
