You must watch this anime

Animes, that’s not what is missing. There are quite a few of them and, let’s be clear, not all of them are unforgettable. However, if you have been around the Death Note, Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, One Piece, Naruto, Boruto, Bleach or even Fullmetal Alchemist, then here is an anime to watch urgently: The Promised Neverland.

If it had to be compared with a literary work, then the first name that would come to mind is none other than the excellent Méto, fromYves grevet.

The two works indeed share a good number of points in common, as you will be able to see.

The Promised Neverland, l’anime coup de poing

The Promised Neverland takes place in an orphanage called Gracefield House where no less than thirty-eight children live, children raised by a woman they call Mum, but who is not really their mother.

So they spend happy days, alternating between lessons and games, waiting to leave for their new family.

Emma, Ray and Norman, three precocious children, live in this orphanage and they will one day discover that the wonderful world in which they thought they were living is far from reality. Because Mum is not there to help them flourish and a dark secret lurks in the dark corridors of Gracefield House.

A breathtaking plot and a compelling realization

A secret that will change everything for our three heroes. If they want to survive, they will indeed have no choice but to flee. But are they really capable of it?

I’m not going to say too much so as not to spoil the surprise, but The Promised Neverland offers us a story full of twists, with the added bonus of a very careful artistic direction. The designs are beautiful, precise and the lighting effects help to give this anime a unique look.

It should also be noted that The Promised Neverland was originally adapted from a manga written by Kaiu Shirai and drawn by Posuka Demizu. If you are fan of manga, there is a good chance that you already know it, but it is also possible that you have missed it.

And if that is the case, then I recommend that you catch your gaze right away. Note also that season 1 of the anime is available on DNA.
