How BYO Cosplay reports, attributes, and uses AI assistance responsibly.
Source-led reporting
Our news workflow starts from public reporting discovered through news feeds. Source-led drafts are not automatically published from a single report: publication requires independent corroboration or editorial review. Published source links appear beside the article.
Accuracy
We do not invent facts, statistics, or quotations. When a detail cannot be verified from the source, we leave it out. Numbers and quotes are used only as they appear in the original reporting.
AI assistance
We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles. Practical guides produced from editorial briefs are identified in their source notes and must avoid unsupported claims. News drafts remain unpublished until their sourcing clears the standard above. AI-generated build concepts in our Studio are original and never claim endorsement by any real person or brand.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send the article link and proposed correction through our contact page. Our corrections policy explains how we review and record substantive changes.
Attribution and fair use
We respect the work of original publishers. We quote sparingly, summarize in our own words, and always link to the source so readers can read the full report.
Advertising independence
Advertising keeps BYO Cosplay free to read. Ads are clearly labeled and never influence our editorial coverage. See our privacy policy for how advertising data is handled.
